Not seeing anything about a quartet performance on that link. Next week they are performing Tchaikovsky Souvenir de Florence – a sextet commonly performed by non-established groups. It’s another matter entirely to form a string quartet – give us more info on that if it exists.

Ahem….you link to a concert in March, which is not tonight….

  • Bruce says:

The “listen” tab for “Absolute Jest” sounds like a piece for string orchestra with concertante string quartet (for instance like Elgar’s Introduction & Allegro). As usual, NL takes a fairly straightforward event and finds some weird way to misrepresent it.

  • Michael Klotz says:

If you read the article it notes upcoming performances solely as a quartet (not as soloists with the NYP) this spring, summer, and a debut at 92nd Street Y in the fall. I’ll bet this ensemble will sound fabulous! These are tremendous instrumentalists and artists. Can’t wait to hear them!
