Maestro stays: No change in Rome

Sir Antonio Pappano has signed a new deal at the Santa Cecilia orchestra, taking him to 2021.

He has been in charge in Rome since 2005.

He has also been music director at Covent Garden since 2002.

He doesn’t like change.
