We hear that Kaija’s daughter Aliisa Neige Barrière will share conducting duties with Esa-Pekka Salonen at the Paris Philharmonie on February 15.

    The Sibelius work, Les Oceanides, is well worth hearing. It was composed for a U.S. music festival c. 1914, and was recently programmed here in Washington by the National Symphony Orchestra.
