‘Largest’ music library under threat

Not for much longer, if university administrators get their way. They want to downgrade the library and merge it with other collections.

Is there a unifying principle in the collection that would be lost if the collection scattered? Wondering specifically why one would object.
On the contrary Mr Lebrecht, the music collection at the Sydney Conservatorium of the University of Sydney is by far the largest resource in the Southern Hemisphere…and larger and more comprehensive then most in the Northern too for that matter.
