Karajan’s interview was in the French television programme “Le Grand Échiquier”, in 1978, with Jacques Chancel. Just behind them, I recognize Michel Glotz (his recording producer) and conductor Emil Tchakarov.
Alexis Weissenberg in the complete interview is sitting to HvK’s right. Fascinating footage.
Holy mackerel! Ozawa never heard of Mengelberg???
There is an invaluable conducting lesson in the second video for those that can discern it.
Alas, this appears to be the only record of Klaus Tennsted’s voice as there are no filmed interviews or (worse) rehearsals.

I have a vague recollection of an appearance on ‘Face the Music’ in the 1980’s.
